If a B.O.C.D. has kicked Hades out into the street and told him to go home, bear in mind he could still be hiding under a bush somewhere with a compass and map...

Lol! Well, if that's the case he's still treking around the village, 'cause there's been no sight or sound from him. *Sighs* Will have to get out and poster the streets again I think. Things have been really busy and I've just not had the time though. We'll get there. Very Happy

I'm so sorry you still have not found him but out of interest do you have a local butchers or fish shop, if so try putting posters around those shope. Also after talking to someone today please remember that sometimes the elderly do find cats but actually dont go out for months so you need to keep the poster & leaflet drops going.

Hi guys,

Well, needless to say there's been no sign of Hades. I had to stop beating myself up as it was making my "condition" worse. I've had some stuff I've needed to deal with and looking for Hades had to take a backseat. This is one reason I've not been around.

Late November last year Bast came limping home with a fractured leg and bleeding from her mouth. Luckily she was OK, with no internal problems. Looked like she'd been run over; so that's two of the nine lives gone! Really knocked me though. It was about 10pm and we had to take her to the emergancey vet. When we left we were £400 lighter! Needeless to say I've now got insurance for her and Shakti in case anything else happens to either of them. I'm at the point now where I'm seriously worried if they're 5 minutes late home. Shocked Rolling Eyes Not good.

So yeah, not much else to report. Still missing Isis too. Sad

Loups

Hi guys,

Sorry, I haven't been about much again. Things seem to keep getting on top of me.

Just had an e-mail from a friend saying that another cat's gone missing in my area. Poped by to copy the tips and read LCN's topic only to see the post about it being Phoebe's birthday a few weeks ago. Just looked at the calendar and, lo and behold, it's the 16th of June. Hades birthday! How afwul do I feel that I almost forgot?! Embarassed Sameful... He'd be 3 today. Miss him loads. Still no news of him at all. Tried leafleting the street I think he's in but to no avail.

I have taken on a Betterware round partly to make a little cash and partly so I can scan the village streets in order to try and find Hades. My "boss" has also lost a cat and she said she'd have no problems with my using the round to distribute leaflets about Hades. Which is very nice of her.

In other news Bast is now physically OK after being knocked over in November, although she's now got psychological problems and is pulling out fur hand over fist. We're trying her on some natural anti-stress pills recommended by her new vet. She's been on them for three days now and, fingers crossed, it seems to be working. The vet would like to see her again in about 3 weeks to see if she'll need them any more.

Shakti is fine, bless her. She's no trouble at all! Although she is a little podgy! I think she's eating outside the house as she eats precious little in here!

Demeter is showing more signs of old age. She had a nasty eye infection last month and this month she decided to sneeze up some grass through her nose. Lovely! She's on antibiotics for that, but she's fine otherwise. That said I'm thinking of getting something to hel her joints. She seems OK during the warmer months, but when it's cold and wet she does hobble around a little bit. Companion Care vets are offering an MOT for £30 which covers a full set of bloods (except T4, but she only had one of those in March) and a full check-up and urine test, which I thought was excellent value. We saw the vet there on Sunday and she was very nice. Demeter must have liked her as she didn't try and scratch her skin off her arms! Lol!

Mum's cat, Mitzi, is also well, but we still have some trouble getting her in at night unless I get Bast and Shakti in first! Ah well, we muddle through. Smile

That's all the news from me. Sorry again that I've not been about much. So much keeps happening that I seem to have vry little "me" time these days! But I shall try harder to get on more often.

Love to all,
Loups x

Not "he'd be 3"... he IS three. I'm sure you'll get your pawprint postcard from him one day.

Well, it wasn't so much past tense more "he would" be three; as in Bast would be two in... err... sometime in the summer! Lil' bub-ba. Very Happy Sorry, guess it's a regional slant as in t'internet and t'pub! Laughing Picked all this stuff up off my Gran and it never seemed to leave me. I would have said, "He'd have been three" if I meant past tense. Wink

Thanks saffy. Very Happy

Humm, not sure I'll be keeping up my little job for long. Taking up too much time for litte reward. Only made £30 over the last fortnight. Rolling Eyes But I am getting some leaflets out now so whatever I decide I'll be taking some time to leaflet the whole village again over the summer.
