Lost - Black Cat in King's Lynn
Missing from Snettisham; any info gratefully received!

Hi all. Just posted this on the CatChat forum, but thought I'd post here for people who may not be on there:

Large black cat, named Hades. He went out at about 0530 Monday 17th September and hasn't come back!

Have done the poster/flyers/knocking on doors. Phoned all vets in area, all re-homing centres and the council in case of RTA (praying it's not as I couldn't stand that again...), but they've yet to get back to me.

Don't know what else to do!

Have had 2 people say they've seen Hades, but I'm not overly convinced. IF it's him, I don't know why he's not coming home as he's ALWAYS been home by 10pm for food and cuddles!

He's neutered, so not really a wanderer... that I know of.

Any advice anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated as I miss my little chap desperately! *Cries*

Hi there

Sorry to hear your little man has not come home...I know exactly how you are feeling - it's been nearly 6 weeks for me.

Hang in there - hopefully he's gone on a little adventure and will be home soon.

keep your chin up!

sorry to hear about your cat but can I suggest you remember to conntact Sue at mymoggy, also has anything different happened in your home or near you that might have caused him to go walk abouts?

6 weeks?! Shocked I'm not sure I could cope that long; it's been two weeks for me and I'm going out of my mind with worry. Hope yours is home soon.

Nothing has happened in the house; all's been normal. However, there has been some coming and going in the close; 2 families have moved out and 2 new families in! Don't know if any of them have pets though. Haven't seen any new cats about, but some people still think it's a good idea to put cats out at night, so who knows?

I have been wondering if Hades has hitched a lift in a removal van. But he's generally quite wary of vehicles and doesn't like strangers, so I don't think it's very likely.

I keep dropping by mymoggy, but I can't find any "Found" posts that match Hades.

It might be an idea to get the numbers of the removal people just in case.

2 weeks missing for a cat is not long,I have dealt with some that have been missing for months and turned up you are doing all the right things .

going out in the early hours is the best time to hear and see things and best at first to say nothing just watch and listen,if you call always call on your way back home so as to not lead him any further away and carry a pillowcase with you to put him in as a cat basket might scare him.

have a look at my site ..................link in my signature.

be lucky.

Dont worry about the found section just now get Hades onto the lost section & in the meantime check with the new people & the removel company as,I think it was last year a cat did get into a removal van (onto a armchair ) but the removal men gave assistance & helped return the cat back home.

I know you're right, that 2 weeks isn't long. But it's just long enough for you to be worried sick about them. Who am I kidding? I was worried sick that night he didn't come home! Rolling Eyes

The problem I have with Hades is that I could call and call for him, but I'd never get a response; he doesn't meow! He's got a kind of open-mouth-and-try-to-make-a-noise squeak, but it's just audible when he's sat next to me! Chances of my hearing him if he's in a garage or shed are minimal! Laughing Silly bugger!

I also don't know who the removals people were. I wasn't in contact with the people who moved, so can't even find out.

I'll look at your site after I've posted this, thanks Roger.

There was some reason I didn't do that. But I'll go back and see if I can get him listed. I've done it on loads of other sites, but nothing's come up yet.
